The joint exercises practice drone countering operations with 300 personnel and 20 aerial systems.
U.S. and Saudi forces conducted a military exercise for two weeks earlier this month, training 300 personnel in the use of 20 anti-drone aerial systems, practicing the operations necessary to combat the most common type of warfare in the Middle East. One-way drones have been launched in the thousands over the last decade, killing civilians, disrupting aerial and maritime traffic, and contributing to instability.
U.S. Central Command stated the drills were held for “improving the detection, tracking, and elimination of modern drone threats.”
“Threats posed by the proliferation of advanced drones are a pressing challenge,” said U.S. Central Command leader Admiral Brad Cooper. “Working shoulder-to-shoulder with regional partners to innovate and adapt is more critical than ever.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Admiral Cooper to be prudent in his leadership over the U.S. Central Command.
- For Secretary Hegseth and the Joint Chiefs of Staff as they advise President Trump.
